Humans are a recent development on the grand scale of the planet's lifespan, they've only existed for a few thousand years, and they definitely originated right there on Earth. It's well documented! Plus, we were going to colonize it once ourselves, and I'm pretty sure that if it had been claimed by some other race first, we would know about it.
