A cold gun. Specifically, a gun that shoots a jet of super-cooled fuel, to a tempurature nearing absolute zero.

Like a flamethrower, but frozen.

Apparently whatever brought me here decided to conveniently take mine away. Either that or the "captains" confiscated it, and lied.

The Ingress. Apparently it's some kind of interdimensional portal device that can pull things into this dimension, but it can't send them back. I wouldn't completely discount the idea of the captains lying, but I can confirm that the device does have a tendency to take belongings from those who it pulls through.

Such a device should be simple enough. Do you have any particular specifications for its construction aside from the general function you wish for it to perform?

I'm going to keep my opinions open for now. It seems awfully convenient that it took my weapon.

Small enough to wear in a leg holster and lift one-handed. A deadman's switch that I can turn on so if it's taken away from me forcefully, it'll explode.

Oh, and I'd like to watch you build it, so I can take it apart and put it back together on my own. I like to know how my weapon works.

[He may not have the expertise necessary to build one from scratch, but he could take his old gun apart and put it together from memory.]
