Perfect! I have but a few humble requirements for the design.

[Tarn clears his throat, preparing his list.]

I have no need for an organic design and I would require the avatar to match my current appearance in everything except size. The projection will have to be small enough to traverse every room in this ship, yet still be larger in size than most organics. If i had to estimate it should be about 3.048 meters in height.

Am I being clear?

....Wouldn't it make more sense to just make it average sized for organics? So you're not clunking into doorways and stuff like that?

Why would I want to be average. The greater height will be better for proving my greater strength and general superiority. If it means that I must duck under doorways then so be it.

[Wow. If there's one thing Peridot doesn't care much for, it's Tall People Being Smug About Being Tall. Her eyes narrow at the camera for a moment, like she's trying to decide just how offended she should be over what Tarn just said.]

...Right. Okay. [This is said through clenched teeth, as the gem puts on her best, most forced customer service appropriate smile. Her eye twitches a tiny bit.] Taller than the average organic. That should be simple enough to accomplish! I mean, obviously, it will be tricky, since us smaller lifeforms are so naturally inferior, but I'm sure I can make do! After all, I wouldn't want to disappoint someone so large and naturally superior.

[sparkwhisperer]

Ah, see? I knew you would understand what what I needed.

[Peridot's snark sails right over his head. He's glad that they're on the same page.]

When can I expect a prototype?

[She's almost disappointed he didn't pick up on it. Hmmm.]

[She growls:]I'll need a few days. I'll contact you as soon as it's finished.

[Tarn smirks from behind his mask. Soon there will be no room too small for him to fit. He's grown weary of feeling cramped on this ship.]

I'll be anxiously awaiting your call. In the mean time, if there is anything that I can provide you to make the process quicker please don't hesitate to let me know.

[It's a few days before she gets back to Tarn, but she's true to her word. She takes her job pretty seriously, after all.

...Not so seriously that she isn't willing to deliberately misinterpret his request a bit, of course. His insistence on looming over other crew members really rubbed her the wrong way, and she's not about to give him the tools to follow through on that. He wants "taller than average"? He's got it. Just barely. 6 feet tall, on the dot. Average human height is 5 feet and 6 inches, so she's not technically getting it wrong...

She pings him on video on the MID, tone and demeanor all business... which is kind of impressive, when you consider that she's trying to pull off what she considers to be a top-notch prank.]

Tarn. I've placed the prototype for the device you requested in your mailbox. It should meet the specifications you provided, but you'll need to test it.
