Why is it that matchups between characters in human entertainment are always so ILLOGICAL AND SENSELESS? I'm going to find a way to contact the CLODS that are behind writing this garbage and set them straight, as soon as I have the means. This is an OUTRAGE.
HAH. I wouldn’t even know where to begin! But if you insist… As I mentioned, the most egregious error, in my opinion, is that the people who created this show have no idea what constitutes a sensible and efficient matchup! Paulette and Percy have absolutely nothing in common, their skills do not complement each other in any way whatsoever, and yet still they end up “going steady” by the end of the series!? It’s absolutely mind boggling! If Percy was really as clever as the show’s writers kept implying him to be, then at some point he should have realized his idiotic mistake and teamed up with Pierre instead, but no--
[She continues to go on like this for pages and pages worth of text, breaking down exactly why her yaoi ship is obviously the superior logical choice of matchup for these Canadian teens. It’s horrible.]
And OF COURSE Percy is good enough for Pierre, that's the point! They compliment each other, that's why they are objectively the most sensible match among the residents of Camp Clod!
Anyway, I can't make my own version, that would be an immense waste of time, a completely ridiculous pursuit. I mean granted, yes, I could write it a thousand times better, and it would be satisfying to correct the wrongs of the actual ending, but I can't possibly get ahold of all of the actors! Even if I could, the aging rate of the average human means that they probably don't even remotely look the part anymore, making it a pointless effort.
Although, perhaps if I were to just write an alternate ending, it would take less time, less resources, leaving me with more time free for other pursuits.

[ Mostly. This is a hell of an introduction to Ratchet's engineer hookup, but at least, you know. Peridot's got her priorities in order. ]
especially when it comes to pairing up. what are you watching?

[She's getting more used to it though.]
It's a "television series" entitled "Camp Pining Hearts". It's a complete and total waste of time, I wouldn't recommend subjecting yourself to it.
[Lies. Well. Partly lies. It's trash, but she loves it. So. SO much.]

maybe they meant it to be a longer-burn romance
and paulette is
a mistake that teaches him about what he really wants out of a relationship: what we all do
lung capacity

Pierre has MUCH more to offer to their partnership than just mere lung capacity.
And that's the problem, the series ends without ever reaching that point, if that is what they were going for!
[Getting the entire CPH collection on DVD in the space mail has been as much a blessing as a curse.]

[ Percy's a protagonist, sure. But is that alone enough to seal their bond?? ]

bad writing
it's a weird place to end it
